About

Hannan Azmir is a Malaysian writer and journalist exploring science and the way it affects society. They made the switch from pipette to pen in 2021, covering a variety of beats including science, health, climate change and videogames.

They have written for various magazines and publications including A*STAR Research, Asian Scientist Magazine, Macaranga Media, and Unwinnable.

They graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biomedical Science and a Masters by Research in Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham.

On off days, Hannan enjoys reading books (fiction and non-fiction), playing videogames and snuggling with their cat while sipping a cup of tea on a rainy day.
